The Newmarket Fencing Club offers classes in association with the Town of Newmarket Parks & Recreation Department. Classes are offered for both youth and adults. Classes take place Sunday mornings at the Magna Centre, Tim Hortons gym on Mulock Drive in Newmarket. Please see the map below for details. 

Age groups are: 
- Youth: 10 to 14 years of age
- Adult: 14+ 

We offer programming for Beginners, Intermediate and Competitive fencers. Beginners start with foil (non-electric scoring) while both Intermediate and Competitive classes focus on the epee and include access to electric scoring machines. Intermediate and Competitive classes also include access to our Sunday Drop-in opportunity. Equipment is provided for class participants including jacket, mask, weapon, glove and chest protectors (mandatory for female fencers). 

Indoor athletic shoes and long pants are mandatory. Shorts are not allowed. A water bottle is also highly recommended.
